The conflict here is between impulses to altruism and self actualization. You're not developing as a saint or a lord of evil.
You have more choices in conversation.Įthical choices are more sophisticated than in past outings. You don't spend as much time pursuing the same conversations to to get all the info. The dialogue trees are more interactive than past efforts, and less repetitive. I've already begun a romance in the game, and that's going well. The writing is top-notch, as is the voice acting. I like BG and KOTOR.Īnd on that note what I've seen of the plot is immersive and interesting. Without revealing any details, the plot casts you as a student who knows nothing of his past, with hints of a greater destiny. The manual could explain things better, but I'll learn. It's far more advanced than the combat in KOTOR. So far it's a bit of a button masher but I have few styles, and as I've gotten more new possibilities open up. Perhaps by the standards of Virtua Fighter 4 or Ninja Gaiden but this is a Bioware Role-Playing Game, not an arena fighter. Now, whatever Kasavin says the game's combat is not easy.
